Rudolph T. Hernandez Jr. passed away April 5, 2026, at home at the age of 76 years old. The son of Rudolph and Mary Hernandez, Rudy was born December 23, 1949, in Saginaw and was a 1967 graduate of Saginaw High School. He then served with the U.S. Army including a year in Vietnam prior to his discharge. Rudy was employed by General Motors for 36 years prior to his retirement in 2005

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed sports, game shows and watching TV in general. Rudy loved being a grandpa.

Surviving are his son, Rudolph T. Hernandez III and his wife Samantha, 12 grandchildren, Rudy Wright, Alexis Wright, Anna Beardsley, Lily Martinez, Hailey Bell, Addison Hernandez, Prescilla Hernandez, Jacqueline Hernandez, Ireland Hernandez, Morrison Hernandez, Cyprus Hernandez, and Memphis Hernandez, a sister Alice Prill, 2 nieces, Deborah Prill and Shanna (John) Bleeden, 2 nephews, Jake Bleeden and Calix Bleeden, and a close cousin, Theresa Cunningham, close friends, family, Diana Totten, Kaitlyn Perrine, and James Shorty Jr.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Saginaw with Fr. Frank Voris officiating. Internment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the church on April 20th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
