Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Sunday afternoon May 15, 2022, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan, she was 75 years old.  Sandra Kay Near was born January 20, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Jerome and Mary Toronjo.  Sandra married Richard (Dick) Near on December 10, 1966, in Saginaw, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2009. Sandra was also preceded in death by her son Richard George Near, four brothers and one sister.

Sandra loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild, going to the casino, playing cards with friends, and watching game shows. 

Surviving are her children, daughter Debbie (Matthew Sr.) Patterson, Mark (Judy) Near, David (Stacy) Near and Stacy (William) Walker. Seven grandchildren, Mathew Jr. (Jessica), Tanner, Noah, Adam, Sawyer, Sydney, and Grace. One great-grandson, Matthew III. Two sisters Auralie Warren and Faye (Ed) Crisp, two brothers Mark (Christina) Toronjo, Albert Toronjo and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra will be greatly missed. Family will gather for a Celebration of Life during the summer.
