Shirley A. Kolhagen, age 84 of Saginaw, Michigan passed away May 1, 2018 at Great Lakes Rehab Center. The daughter of the late Edward and Thelma Allore, Shirley was born April 1, 1934 in Midland, Michigan. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School and she married Donald F. Kolhagen on December 11, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2002. Mrs. Kolhagen was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Surviving are 4 children, David (Cheryl) Kolhagen, John (Kitty) Kolhagen, Mark Kolhagen and Sue (Wayne) Carpenter; 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Mitch) Foss, Amber Emerson, Casey Emerson, and Bradford (Amber) Harrison; 7 great-grandchildren, Julianna, Karsten, Nevaeh, Arthur, Arianna, Aidyn, and Alex; 1 brother, Tony Lagalo.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Arthur “A.J.” Emerson; and by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Fr. Tom McNamara officiating, with Interment taking place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. There will be a Vigil Service 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
