Shirley Gene Losee pf Saginaw passed away on October 6th 2016 at the Cartwright Hospice Center on Hospital Road in Saginaw. Shirley (Guilbault) was born April 3rd, 1923 in Detroit to Norman Eugene and Anna Maude (Yott) Guilbault. She married Arthur Woodrow Losee on December 8th 1945. Her husband served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in World War II and was with the second wave on the Okinawa Island Invasion. He preceded her in death in February of 2008.
Surviving are her 6 children, Norman (Dinah) Losee of Grand Rapids, MI-Guy Losee of Ravenna, MI-Jack (Claudette) Losee of Saginaw, MI-Sally Boudot of Traverse City, MI-Todd (Katie) Losee of Saginaw, MI-Christy (Joe) Perez of St. Charles, MI-14 grandchildren, Adam, Aubrey, Trisha, Kellie, Jessica, Aaron, James, Janell, Todd, Michael, Brayton and Samantha. She had 22 great grandchildren, Brenna, Courtney, Harper, Michael, Noah, Jack, Addison, Chace, Luke, Abbigail, Emily, Eden, Oliver, Lillian, Maxwell, Madison, Mia, Landry, Lincoln, Urijah, Colton, and Alexandria, one sister, Barbara Brooks and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Benford, a daughter-in-law Lynda Losee and two grandchildren, Norman Arthur Losee and Troy.
Cremation has taken place per Shirley’s wishes by Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home and will be scattered with her husband Arthur’s ashes with family at another time. The family would like to thank the Cartwright Hospice Center for their care of Shirley at her end. They are special individuals who do a very tough job.
