Shonda S. Drake, age 47 of Saginaw passed away May 8, 2021 at home.  Daughter of Charles L. and Donnia (Mackey) Drake, Shonda was born December 3, 1973 in Saginaw.  She was a member of Prayer Room Ministries.  She loved her family, spending time with grandkids, Music, cooking, playing cards and Double Clutch.  She had a special quote, “UM BYE”.

Surviving is her father, Charles L. Drake; 2 children, Kadeja Drake, and Dontaysha Holden; 6 grandchildren, Honesty, and Liberty Drake, Tamiya Baskin, Jaila Bellamy, Camille Bellamy, and Omarii Bellamy; 5 brothers, Devin Drake, Larry Steward, Bernard Lawson,Joe Willie Jones, and Leon Weaver Jr.; 7 sisters, Lisa Steward, Scherry (Kendel) Steward-Saine, Dianne Drake, Carlotte and Delana Hilliard, LaWanda Drake, and Gail Drake; God-sister, Rose Green; and God-brother, Marlin Hardister; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donnia Drake; daughter, Jessica Drake, son, Clayvon Drake; and grandmother, Codie Mae Mackey.

Funeral Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26th at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw, officiating Pastor Roy Bishop from Prayer Room Ministries Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Devin Drake, Marlin Hardister, Devitri Santes, Damion Williams Jr., Tavion Logan Jr., Mansel Reed Jr. and Honorary Pallbearer Treon Drake.

We will adhere to protocol, face mask, and safe distancing due to Covid-19 State of Michigan restrictions.
