Victoriana Gonzalez

Victoriana Gonzalez, age 80 of Saginaw passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at home.  The daughter of the late German and Leocadia (Pesina) Soto, Victoriana was born July 17, 1940 in Combes, Texas.  She married Fernando Gonzalez on September 15, 1960 in Lebanon, Indiana and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2003.

In her earlier years, Victoriana was employed by Lodgco Cleaning Co., Vlasic Pickle Co., and Yankee Department Store in Saginaw.  Mrs. Gonzalez was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  She enjoyed sewing, listening to Mexican Music, and experiencing the challenge of the casino.

Surviving are 7 children, Miguel (Delia) Gonzalez, Herlinda (Jesse) Sanchez, Fernando GonzalezJr., Daniel Gonzalez, Rita Gonzalez, Andres Gonzalez, and Ricardo Gonzalez, all of Saginaw; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 sisters, Lucy Enriquez, Olivia Bevens, Anita Fulgencio, Aralia Soto, and Alvina Hubert; and special friend Rachel Rosales.

She was preceded in death by a son, Eduardo Gonzalez; 1 brother, Gregorio Soto; 2 sisters, Mary Davila, and Rosie Alvarado; and by her aunt, Alvina Valtierra.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St Francis of Assisi Parish former site of St Anthony Catholic Church on S. Washington Road in Saginaw.  Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave Saginaw on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.  until time of Service.
