Wilda “Willie” Simmers, age 68 of Saginaw passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at home. The daughter if the late Dewey and Cornelius Harvey, Willie was born March 2, 1952 in Elkins, West Virginia and moved to Painesville, Ohio as a child with her family.

She moved to Saginaw in 1999 from Erie, Pennsylvania. She was member of the VFW Post 1566 Ladies Auxiliary, the Carrollton Eagles Club, and enjoyed watching game shows on TV, bowling, cooking, socializing with friends, and taking care of her pet cat.

Surviving are 3 children, Rick Habas of Michigan, Daniel (Beth) Habas of Indiana, and Melissa (Curt Brock) George of Tennessee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her lifelong companion, Larry Schroeppel of Saginaw; and siblings, Dale (Kathy) Harvey of Ohio and Norbert (Betty) Harvey of Ohio.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
