William J. Belknap

Saginaw, Michigan

 

William J. Belknap, age 75 of Saginaw passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at home after a brief illness. The son of the late Ivan and Nellie Belknap, William was born August 25, 1946, in Saginaw. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam in 1968 and was given an Honorable Discharge in 1969. He married the former Connie Callahan of Saginaw.

William was employed by Saginaw Products and later with General Motors at the Grey Iron Foundry and retired in 1998 after 29 years of service with General Motors. William loved his wife and family. He enjoyed camping, boating, reading, and spending time on his computer.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Connie Belknap; and his 2 children, Thomas Belknap, and Sherri L. Belknap both of Saginaw.

He was preceded in death by his brother and 2 sisters, James Belknap, Susan Munson, and Anita Belknap.

Private graveside service and interment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home of Saginaw.
